We are just through year 1 for tower 1. This a complex building with Club Gilmore. When we started we had no existing rules, policies, procedures and processes.
People had a lot of questions and a lot of change was implemented. We have been a in very reactive state with a large amount of interfacing occurring via Facebook. which had been supported by a small group of dedicated volunteers.
We will be moving to structured communication and collection of feedback and issue reporting to be more inclusive and trackable, not Facebook Posts or Chats.

Working on new onboarding offboarding and training procedures for staff
The Club Commitee recognized months ago that the room rules were too small and most residents were not reading them.
New large clear signage has been ordered for the Indoor and Outdoor Pool, Gym, Level 6 Terrace, Bowling Alley, and Dog Park to help summarize the main rules and help with compliance.
Some initial signs are already installed, such as the "please shower before entering the pools" in the pool areas
Certain locations have been determined in being weak points for our complex. This includes door security, access control, and complex loopholes that allow unauthorized access.
Quotes are being done to improve security to storage lockers, fire escape stairwells, and locking or alarming additional doors through Gilmore Place
Onni Commercial has employed Guard Teck Security to perform consistent daily patrols of the entire parking complex (L1A to P1 to P7) including all stairwells to remove any vagrants or intruders from the parking lot.
Many new cameras are being installed throughout Club Gilmore to help with safety, security, and capital preservation.
This has covered many of the blindspots
T2 is creating recommendations for how to improve signage and helping visitors get to and register for parking.
This is a new initiative
Club Committee is working on getting red light / green light access control for the parking gates located on P3 and P4
Gate scanners are also being looked at to be moved to improve scanning accuracy
Tower 3 created new garbage room signage, which has been provided to Tower 1 and Tower 2 to use as well.
Tower 2 is following some recommendations to use stickers instead and the roll out will be shortly.
Tower 1 will be rolling out the new signs soon.
Club Committee supported request for new books in kids Library
A resident has helped restock book in the kids library
The space was hard to use and the committee received a proposal to better support the growth, development, usability and enjoyment of our youngest community members.
We have received some very positive feedback and have seen much more usage of the room
As part of the booking system deployment we have made the commitment to improve the access to information and usability of the website and links and see this as a way to make more information available to residents outside of social media and other app platforms.
This will be ongoing and improve over time.
Tower 1, 2, and 3 Councils have all implemented new cameras in their lobby, mail room, parcel rooms, and around the concierge desk. This has helped improve building security and ensuring to stop parcel theft.
A new visitor parking registration program was introduced using Offstreet to eliminate residents from using visitor parking.
Club Gilmore made the decision early on to implement a booking system as quick as we could.
This system allows residents to book and pay for rooms all in a single portal while ensure the booking limits and policies are respected
This will become our primary system for all residents and it will continue to improve as we enhance it and bring more services and features to it over time.
The Dog Park and Dog Wash Room were one of the first areas identified as needing some improvement due to sanitary concerns
Hoses were installed, additional cleaning was scheduled, and enzyme cleaners were introduced.
In the dog wash room, it was opened for resident access without booking. A dryer, vacuum, and other cleaning items were added.
To address dog feces from being left around Club Gilmore, Tower Elevators, and the Dog Park, both Club Gilmore and Gilmore Place Towers adopted PooPrints Dog DNA Testing
All dogs must register with this service.
Update as of July 2025: Most dog poop incidents have decreased.
